Today was sail day! We were split into four groups - 2 groups of 8 had a big pirate-looking boat and the 2 other groups of 4 had a small sail boat. For the first part of our sail, we sailed along to Hamworth park so that we could eat our lunch. This took a while for those without a motor on their boat as there was not much wind this morning. They enjoyed being towed along and working hard with their paddles to try and get moving. We enjoyed our lunch in the park, behind the beach huts, which have an 18 year waiting list! After lunch, we sailed across to the island to see if we could find any seals. Unfortunately, we weren’t so lucky today. The wind was strong this time around and the small sail boats were flying along the water! It got quite choppy at times but the children loved this and were leaning back in the wind, dipping their hands in the water. We made it back safely and are now looking forward to having a BBQ on the beach for dinner! A fantastic la...

We have been very busy today, completing 3 different water activities! This morning, the second group got to do windsurfing while the first group got to do paddle boarding. They played plenty of games to warm up for wind surfing and the children enjoyed these. The wind picked up enough for them to have some good tries at wind surfing. The water was nice and calm for the paddle boarders with the some glorious sunshine this morning. Plenty of opportunities to push people into the water and try and surf the waves. After lunch, we had a chance to do raft building and mega SUP. The children loved both these activities - they just wanted to jump off and play in the water. They are definitely a class of water babies! This evening, we’ll be crabbing and building sand castles! Below are some pictures:

Today started early for some with a morning run at 7am with Mr Davis. They even ran in the rain! We’ve had a lovely day today pico sailing and kayaking. Pico sailing was a lot of fun - we definitely had to concentrate! Some children capsized, luckily the water wasn’t too cold. Some children felt like falling off and taking a dip in the water, clearly enjoying the moment! Luckily, the wind was on our side and we could sail nicely on the water. Kayaking was also a good experience but hard work for some of the children. They got to play some games: tag and ball games. They also had a chance to swim. All children enjoyed being towed and having a lift in the speed boats, living a life of luxury!

We’re just about to settle down and have our dinner. Half of us did wind surfing today while the other half did paddle boarding. We have some super wind surfers in class, managing to turn it 360 degrees! We also have some children who enjoyed falling off and swimming in the water. Definitely a workout! The children enjoyed paddle boarding along the shore, stopping off at a beach to skim stones and a quick swim before heading back again. Our evening entertainment tonight is Rockley’s got talent - we’re looking forward to it!
